Summer of 2022 Pioneer day camp 

3 hours, 3 days/week, ages 7-14. 4 different programs, each offered 2 session dates. Your kids will want to do them all!

Each day begins with De-Modernizing and a Class Photo. Start with releasing the bonds of technology, current day clothing and shoes! Change into pioneer day outfits and prepare to learn weaving, quilting, soap carving and other crafts, pioneer games, baking, Dutch oven cooking, and so much more. Your kids will want to return time after time - for years!  All Campers are encouraged to bring a snack such as apples, oranges, crackers, pretzels, etc.

Camp 1:

Weaving, Hand-spinning wool, Marbles, Calling Cards, Pie Making and Butter Churning.

May 31–June 2 and June 28-June 30

Camp 2:

Quilting, blacksmith demonstration, homemade ice cream, candle making, and square dancing. June 7-9 and July 5-7

Camp 3:

Hopscotch, stick weaving, cornbread making, dulcimer lessons, old fashioned house cleaning, and candle making June 14-16 and July 12-14

Camp 4:

Pillow making, Quill pens and journals, lemonade making, and tea and scones

June 21-23 and July 19-21

Depending on time, some activities may be added to the week. Some activities may be postponed or canceled due to inclement weather. If that occurs, alternate indoor activities are provided.
