 ollinators. Guests will be able to view butterflies up close while learnin
 g about their life stages and more. \nThe butterfly house is regularly sto
 cked with an assortment of native butterfly species\, which varies through
 out the exhibit. Guests may even get to see a butterfly emerge from a chry
 salis. Inside the butterfly house\, nectar plants are also available to fe
 ed the adult butterflies. There are even a few host plants for caterpillar
 s to feed on (“host plants”). \nThe butterfly garden\, too\, is filled wit
 h nectar plants and host plants that naturally attract these lovely creatu
 res. Guests may even find a few ideas to try in home gardens\, which can i
 n turn help pollinators on a broader scale. From time to time\, other spec
 ies of wildlife that feed on insects or the nectar plants may also be foun
 d in the butterfly garden\, including hummingbirds. This area is also a gr
 eat setting for nature photography. The Native Texas Butterfly House and G
 arden is sponsored by NBC5. \nThe Native Texas Butterfly House and Garden
  will be open during the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary
 's regular days and operating hours (usually Tuesdays through Saturdays 9a
 m-4pm and Sundays 1pm-4pm). Ticket prices are included in general admissio
