DESCRIPTION:On October 22\, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.\, visitors from across N
 orth Texas will experience Collin County’s premier family-friendly Hallowe
 en event at Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary. Halloween a
 t the Heard features a safe environment to experience the joy of trick-or-
 treating along the eerie Dinosaurs Live! Live-Size Animatronic Dinosaurs t
 rail. \nFamilies also will enjoy an evening full of fun activities includi
 ng a presentation of a family-friendly movie on the Heard's outdoor amphit
 heater stage\, a “Ghost Town\,” and more. Food will be available for purch
 ase. \n Tickets will be available to the public beginning September 29 (a
  Heard members-only pre-sale will be held September 14-28). Tickets for th
 is annual event often sell out before the event\, so the Heard encourages
  guests to purchase theirs as soon as possible. Admission to this event is
  $15 for adults\, $10 for children ages 3-12\, and free for children ages

  Wildlife Sanctuary \nProceeds from this event benefit Heard Natural Scien
 ce Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary\, a private 501(c)3 organization. The Heard
  was founded in 1967 by Bessie Heard.  Miss Heard was 80 years old when sh
 e saw the need to preserve a place where future generations could experien
 ce nature. Today\, the Heard’s mission of bringing nature and people toget
 her is carried out through education\, particularly of young people\, whic
 h emphasizes an appreciation of nature and its conservation.
