Bridges that Unite is excited to Offer its Getting Ahead McKinney Workshop! This is a 16 week session meeting on Thursdays from 6-8:30PM. Participants in this workshop will use their experience, knowledge and problem solving skills to look into the causes of poverty from a individual, community, systemic and national level as well as identify if they themselves have impacts to become agents of change. Although all are invited to apply, this awesome workshop will only have a total of 12 investigators (yes bring your journalistic enthusiasm) that will deep dive into causes, processes, and change. All should have a seat at the table to understand poverty, and identify tools to help reduce it, so whether you could use this information to make a change in your own life, share information with others (each one teach one) or just understand something that you may not have been aware of, this is a great place to start an amazing journey! Participants will receive Free childcare, Free Dinner and a stipend during our workshops as our way of ensuring those barriers (hunger, childcare and yes gas money) are removed and you can bring your ideas to the table. Everyone is invited to apply regardless of economic class (living in poverty, middle class or wealth).

Faith and finances will also be facilitating a 12 week workshop starting on 1/17 from 6-8:30.  Both workshops will be located at Our Saviour Lutheran Church 2708 Virginia Parkway, Mckinney Texas.
