49 Winchester to Perform Free Concert at Gilley’s
Rolling Stone named 49 Winchester, “country music’s buzziest buzz band”
DURANT, Okla., (April 12, 2023) – Catch 49 Winchester at Gilley’s at Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant on Friday, April 21, before they join Luke Combs on his 2023 World Tour in Europe this fall. Gilley’s DJ will kick off the fun at 7 p.m. to get the crowd ready for a night of great music, and 49 Winchester will take the stage at 10 p.m.
Virginia-based 49 Winchester is breaking into the national scene with their latest album, “Fortune Favors The Bold.” They are known for their unique brand of tear-in-your-beer-alt-country, sticky bar room floor rock-n-roll, and high-octane Appalachian folk.
Formed eight years ago on Winchester Street in the small mountain town of Castlewood Virginia, the band’s fourth studio album showcases the current state of 49 Winchester, a grittier, edgier tone that leans towards rock. The album is about leaving your hometown with an appreciation for your roots and heading for the unknown horizon.
49 Winchester has been rising through the music ranks and has recently opened for the Turnpike Troubadours at the Ryman Auditorium, played with Whiskey Myers and made their Grand Ole Opry debut. This fall, they will open for Luke Combs on his 2023 World Tour in Europe.
