Families invited to experience Easter fun at Christ Fellowship

McKINNEY – Christ Fellowship is hosting an Easter celebration especially for families on Saturday, April 15 at 5 pm. Children will hear the Easter story, enjoy music and singing, skits, treats, crafts and family photos with live animals.

“There is no greater joy on this earth than the gift of Easter,” said Christ Fellowship Senior Pastor Bruce Miller. “This is why we celebrate. And we want children to hear the story of Easter in an exciting way.”

So while mom, dad and older children attend services in the Worship Center, elementary-age children can enjoy an exciting celebration just for them in the gym, featuring live music and singing, drama, the Easter story and lots of Easter joy. Children 5 and under can play and learn about Easter in a safe, fun classroom environment. Afterward, it’s time for cute photos with live animals, treats from a real ice cream truck, crafts and making new friends on the playground.

“We invite everyone, especially people who are new to town, to come out and make memories as a family,” Miller said.

The church is also hosting a reflective, multicultural Good Friday service (appropriate for children in middle school and older) on April 14 at 7 pm, and Easter Sunday services at 9:30 and 11:15 am. On Sundays, Promiseland offers children’s church for ages newborn through fifth grade. Older children attend with their families.

“God has a heart for the hurting, the stressed, the weary … for YOU. We hope you'll join us for one of our services this Easter and experience joy like no other,” Miller said.
