Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary
About
The Heard is where nature lives! This 289 acre, pristine nature preserve features four ecosystems. You're sure to find something new to experience on every visit. The indoor museum further enhances the experience with permanent and seasonal exhibits. In keeping with the vision of our founder, Bessie Heard, the Heard's primary purpose is to educate children about nature. The Heard exists to bring nature and people together to discover, enjoy, experience, restore, and preserve our priceless environment. This is also accomplished with a wide variety of fun education programs for all ages.
