When wealthy rancher James Burton is found dead in downtown McKinney, his apparent suicide quickly spirals into a web of secrets, betrayal, and forbidden love. Suspicion falls on his widow Clara and her rumored lover Jack Alden, but as hidden motives come to light, the town is left questioning who to trust.
