McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT) is excited to present the hit Neil Simon comedy, “RUMORS”, opening on May 5th, 2023 at McKinney Performing Arts Center in the old courthouse theater in historic downtown McKinney.

You will laugh non-stop with this classic farce! Four couples arrive at the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to attend a party celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary. However, they soon discover that there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the deputy mayor has shot himself in the head (it’s only a flesh wound). Comic complications arise when, given everyone's upper-class status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local police and the media.

The MRT production of "RUMORS" is being directed by Aaron Adair and produced by Jessie Johnson.

McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT) is a 100% volunteer, nonprofit, community theatre.  MRT is McKinney’s Official Community Theatre and is a resident company at McKinney Performing Arts Center in historic, downtown McKinney.

About McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT)

McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT) was started in 2003 when a group of local actors decided to bring the gift of theatre to McKinney.  Since then, MRT has become McKinney’s Official Community Theatre and we are one of the resident companies at McKinney Performing Arts Center in historic downtown McKinney.  MRT is also a 98% volunteer driven non-profit theatre and is supported, in part, by grants from the City of McKinney through the McKinney Arts Commission (MAC) and the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC).
