The City of McKinney is proud to announce it was included with just nine other Texas cities to achieve the Platinum Leadership Circle Award from the Texas Comptroller. This is the newest and highest designation for financial transparency. 

To achieve this award, the city scored 22 out of 22 possible points in the ratings criteria and exceeded requirements for financial transparency online by opening financial records to the public, providing clear and consistent pictures of spending, and sharinginformation in a user-friendly format that lets taxpayers easily find more detail.

The City of McKinney received the Gold designation in 2010 and 2012, the highest designation at that time.

“We understand the high responsibility we have as stewards of public resources. This award validates our efforts to achieve a high level of financial transparency so residents can easily understand how their tax dollars are spent,” said Rodney Rhoades, Chief Financial Officer.
