Faith Stephens, the music teacher at Frisco ISD’s Comstock Elementary School in McKinney, was one of only ten educators in North Texas recognized by the Dallas Mavericks and The UPS Store® as part of their 10th Annual Teacher Recognition Program.
Stephens was nominated for the honor by one of her students, who wrote an essay explaining why she should be recognized.
The program is designed to highlight deserving teachers for their work in the classroom.
Stephens received two free tickets to the Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma Thunder game on March 25 and was introduced on the court at halftime.
She won $1,000 for herself, as well as $1,000 for Comstock Elementary.
