On Saturday, October 1, ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship will blend elegance and Texas-panache by transforming its McKinney-based equestrian center into a sparkling scene for dinner, dancing and charitable giving during the organization’s 9th Annual Gala at the ‘Gait presented by Stereo East Home Theater. This year’s theme is “Soar On Wings Like Eagles” – Isaiah 40:31. A crowd of more than 700 people is expected to attend sporting their finest Western attire to raise money for ManeGait while enjoying dishes from a host of local restaurants, bidding on an extensive collection of live and silent auction items and dancing to the music of Charla Corn.

“Gala at the ‘Gait is ManeGait’s largest fundraiser with proceeds from the event supporting 40 percent of its operating budget,” said Landon Darling Schneider, 2016 Gala at the ‘Gait chair. “These monies allow ManeGait to support riders from all across North Texas, including those in Dallas, Collin and Denton County.”

The night’s entertainment begins with guests being greeted upon arrival by ManeGait’s therapy horses and riders. Once inside the arena party space, attendees can sample food from many of  North Texas’ best restaurants in a ‘taste of’ format with dishes from culinary partners including: III Forks, Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar, Mexican Sugar cocina y cantina, Harvest Seasonal Kitchen, Patina Green Home & Market, Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen, Velvet Taco, Ida Claire, Sixty Vines, Hutchins BBQ, Cadillac Pizza Pub, Taverna Rossa,  Three Sixty at Gentle Creek Country Club, Nothing Bundt Cakes, The Ranch | Las Colinas, Tupps Brewery, Emporium Pies, and Whole Foods Market.

“The Stereo East family is proud to be a returning presenting sponsor for Gala at the ‘Gait,” said Gary Montagna, CEO of Frisco-based Stereo East Home Theater. “It’s absolutely heartwarming to see the results ManeGait is able to accomplish by providing equestrian therapy to adults and children with physical, emotional, cognitive, sensory and behavioral disabilities.”

Gala at the ‘Gait will be held on Saturday, October 1 from 6 to 11 p.m. at ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship, 3160 N. Custer in McKinney. Individual tickets are $200 each. Sponsorships start at $2,500. For information, visit www.manegait.org or call Tricia Nelson at (469) 422-6734.
