Minshew Elementary’s environmental club, known as "The Green Team," is making changes to impact the future! Don't worry, these changes are for the better. After partnering with The Carton Council of North Texas and Progressive Waste, "The Green Team" has received a grant to help fund and initiate a carton recycling program in the lunchroom. Minshew will be one of the first schools in the district to offer a lunchroom recycling program. All lunchroom purchased milk and juice cartons will be separated from the usual, all in one, trash cans and tossed into an eye catching milk carton shaped receptacle provided by The Carton Council of North Texas. Rather than being sent to the landfill, these cartons will now be recycled and used to make other paper products! This exciting and environmentally friendly program is scheduled to kick off October 3^rd.
