Sixth Annual National Back to Church Sunday in conjunction with Explore God ®will be held Sept 12, 2015

McKinney, TX. – July 2015 – Dallas / Ft. Worth is Exploring God. In September 2015, churches in the DFW area are joining together to invite their communities to explore God. The City of McKinney want to participate in this historic movement today in conjunction with National Back to Church Outreach

ABOUT THE NATIONAL INITIATIVE: National Back to Church Sunday (NBTCS) is the largest annual community-based church outreach effort in the nation. The campaign empowers churches and church members with the tools they need to welcome their neighbors, friends and loved ones back to church, while providing an easy way for everyone in the community to find a welcoming church. In 2014, more than 30,000 churches in all 50 states (over 120 denominations) participated. In addition, 84% of responding churches said that having a special day motivated their members to invite family and friends. The Explore God DFW Community Outreach Initiative is a unique effort to encourage people in the greater DFW metroplex to do just that: explore God. We all wonder, and we all have questions about God, faith, and purpose. Explore God is an opportunity to invite anyone to explore these big questions in an open and authentic way.
