Frisco Discovery Center 8004 N. Dallas Parkway

On Monday, Aug. 6, the Sci-Tech Discovery Center will host the first-annual North Texas Educators Conference from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Frisco Discovery Center.

Frisco Arts, the Frisco Heritage Museum, the Museum of the American Railroad and the Sci-Tech Discovery Center collectively make up the Educational Partners of North Texas.  The North Texas Educators Conference, presented by the Educational Partners of North Texas, is designed to provide information on artistic, cultural and scientific programming in North Texas.

Educators and administrators from throughout North Texas are invited to attend the free event, and are encouraged to register quickly as seating is limited to 125 participants.  The conference will offer information about field trip options, classroom programming and on-campus assemblies, which provide students with the opportunity to learn classroom objectives in creative and interactive ways.

“Our hope is that we can collectively be a valuable resource to local educators by providing creative and interactive ways to meet student learning objectives,” said Erica Yaeger, Executive Director of Sci-Tech Discovery Center. “This inaugural conference is a way to share these exciting opportunities for the upcoming school year.”

The conference will provide light refreshments and school-year savings opportunities.  In addition, raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the event.
