With the holiday season comes new holiday traditions, and possible a new member to your family.  Collin County Animal Services will host its first Deck the Paws event on Saturday, December 10 at the Collin County Animal Shelter.

The event will offer dog and cat adoptions, a low-cost vaccination clinic, an Angel Donation tree, fundraisers for local spay and neuter clinics and pet photos with Santa.

According to the Collin County Government Facebook page, the schedule of events is as follows:

• Dog & Cat Adoptions, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic from 10 a.m.-Noon, sponsored by the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection.
• Paws Angel Donation Tree, sponsored by North Texas Pet Food Bank.
• Don't Thread On Me holiday sale items with proceeds going towards spay and neuter clinics.
• Photos with Santa with all adoptions. Not adopting? Bring your pet and camera and take a photo!
