Local Business and Civic Leaders Group Endorses Two Candidates

MCKINNEY, Texas (March 31, 2015) McKinneyTeam has interviewed and evaluated all the candidates for election in the City Council At Large and District 2 races. The McKinney Team has chosen to endorse Bill Campbell and Matt Hilton.

“Our group is pleased to endorse two strong candidates for the future leadership of McKinney,” stated Pete Huff, Chairman of McKinneyTeam. “Both candidates share our group’s vision for a strong and balanced tax base, stability in City Manager leadership, and a high bar for quality in the future growth of our city. We believe they have a good command of the issues that face McKinney in the days ahead and a willingness to look at the information and make informed decisions.”

The McKinneyTeam indicated the qualifications of each candidate they liked included:

Bill Campbell - City Council At Large

• 14 year McKinney resident with his family.
• Strong involvement and leadership in the community including: Vice Chairman of McKinney Community Development Corporation Board, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Board, various city and MISD bond campaigns, as well as several others.
• Business owner who opened an office of a national engineering firm in McKinney and later led a group of partners to form a new company based in McKinney.

Matt Hilton – City Council District 2

• 11 year McKinney resident with his family.
• Strong involvement and leadership in the community including: City Planning and Zoning Board, Planning Board and President of Collin County Association of Realtors
• Business owner who started his own business in McKinney.

McKinneyTeam is a group of successful McKinney business and community leaders that are dedicated to supporting a positive future for the City of McKinney.
