A sewage spill from a collection facility occurred on Rowlett Creek at 4101 S. Custer on Sunday, Dec. 11.  The City of McKinney advises that the public should avoid contact with waste material, soil or water in the affected area, which ranges approximately three-quarters of a mile on Rowlett Creek south of Stonebridge Drive.

Public water use has not been affected.

The spill has been contained and inspectors have found no environmental dangers or foul odors.  Repairs are scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, Dec. 14.
