Celebrate a bygone era in women’s finery at our annual fashion show and luncheon. Step back in time Saturday, March 19 as we explore the elegance of yesterday's fashions and the impact of history on today’s looks. Revel in the opulence of the Grand Ballroom of the historic Grand hotel, and enjoy a delectable lunch, served by Rick’s Chophouse.

Our theme, “Focus on Fancy”, will feature authentic and reproduction pieces spanning 1860-1930, including representations of Civil War fashions, the Victorian and Titanic eras, and of course, Downton Abbey! Partners Cynthia Elliot Boutique and LeAnn’s Bridal will present their finest spring party and formal wear.

Our costumers will share the history of the vintage fashions along with their contributions to today’s trends. From boots to bonnets, bustles and bavolets, learn their purpose and the role they play today. And what’s a historic fashion show without the inclusion of hoops, gaiters, chemisettes and puffons?

“The first Fashion Show was held to celebrate the opening of the Bevel House” according to Pat Rodgers, long-time volunteer, board member, and Chairman. Since then, they have become an annual event for many ladies’ groups, friends, and moms and daughters. The Fashion Show really kicks off our event season, and we look forward to seeing you there!”

Always a popular event, the fashion show has sold out in the past, so don’t waste another minute to get your tickets. This is a definite “must do” with your daughter, mother or girlfriends. Proceeds from the event benefit Chestnut Square Historic Village.  Get your tickets today at www.chesnutsquare.org.
