Election Day for the proposed McKinney Independent School District 2016 Bond Program is this coming Saturday, May 7.  As a citizen of McKinney who dearly cares about the future of our community, I urge all registered voters in McKinney to invest in our future and cast your vote FOR the bond on Saturday!  Voting will be open from 7AM to 7PM at every middle school in McKinney.

This bond package will positively impact every campus across the district.  It will insure that every school building has proper security cameras to keep our kids safe and deter crime.  It will insure that roofs on school buildings continue to keep students’ heads dry, and that HVAC systems continue to maintain proper building climate (unlike the unfortunate conditions we've recently seen in many Dallas ISD school buildings).  It will insure that every high school student has a computer to use and learn on, no matter what their family situation, to best-prepare them for life in a technology-filled world.  It will insure that every student who loves Fine Arts is able to participate, versus potentially being turned away due to lacking facilities or resources.  And yes, it will provide for a wonderful new multi-purpose stadium that will be used by thousands of students each week, including musicians, athletes, drill team and dance squad members, and students in journalism, broadcasting, and hospitality business classes.

I want the best for our MISD students and our community, and I hope you do too.  Vote your values!  Make your voice heard!  Vote FOR the future of McKinney, and vote FOR the bond!
