The City of McKinney has posted on its Facebook page that there is a gas line fire at State Highway 5 and Plateau Drive, near the Medical Center of McKinney.  

No injuries have been reported at this time, and residents are asked to avoid the area.

UPDATE—11:30 a.m.

From the City of McKinney:

Traffic update near gas line fire: One lane is open southbound State Hwy 5 and traffic is flowing slowly. SH 5 (Greenville Ave) south of Spur 399 is closed to traffic. This is the section of SH 5 that runs just east of the Medical Center to Fairview/Allen. Please still avoid the area if possible.

Two minor injuries have also been reported.
