The Heard-Craig Center for the Arts in downtown McKinney is currently taking registrations for its ARTISTRY ON PORCELAIN conference.
Set on the lovely Heard-Craig estate grounds in downtown McKinney, Texas, the ARTISTRY ON PORCELAIN conference will feature an evening reception in the Main House (September 23, 6:00 PM), porcelain demonstrations (painting in gold, September 29th, 9:00 AM) (porcelain dolls, October 1, 9:00 AM), a Hands-On workshop (September 28th at 9:00 AM), and several porcelain lectures. The lecture on October 5 at 9:00 AM will discuss how to incorporate porcelain into today’s Interior Design schemas. The speaker, Malika Roberts, has a Fine Arts degree from SW Texas, over 20 years of experience as a decorative artist for Havertys, and is a master at incorporating client’s sentimental pieces into the design of their home’s interior.
Tickets can be purchased individually ($35 per session/$25 per session for Heard-Craig or Porcelain Guild Members) or through an unlimited Full Conference pass ($145 or $125 for Heard-Craig and Porcelain Guild Members). The conference is a partnership between the Porcelain Guild of North Texas and the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts. The Porcelain Guild meets the last Tuesday of the month at 9:00 AM in the Carriage House, 205 W Hunt Street, McKinney, Texas (September 27, October 25, and November 15, 2016) All are welcome to attend.
