The North Texas Area Alumnae Panhellenic (NTAAP) is proud to announce the recipients of its merit-based scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year: Haley Havens, Abby Hendrix, and Sara Salazar.

Scholarship Chair Madison Geer formally introduced this year’s honorees at a recent NTAAP meeting. Awarded annually to active sorority members, NTAAP scholarships recognize collegiate women who demonstrate outstanding leadership, campus and community involvement, dedicated service, and academic excellence.

Haley Havens is a Delta Gamma at the University of Texas pursuing a Bachelor of Science Honors in Advanced Human Development and Family Sciences, alongside a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology with a focus on Genetics and Genomics. Active in student initiatives including the Pediatric Hope Project, Little Health Heroes, and the Children’s Advocacy Initiative, Haley also served as Director of "Desserts with DG," leading a fundraiser that raised $9,000 for her chapter's philanthropy.

Abby Hendrix is an Alpha Gamma Delta at the University of Oklahoma pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Professional Pilot. A passionate aviator, Abby has logged hundreds of flight hours, serves as a certified flight instructor at OU’s School of Aviation, and is an active member of Women in Aviation International. Within her chapter, she has held key leadership positions as Director of Membership and Homecoming Director.

Sara Salazar is a Chi Omega at the University of Alabama pursuing both a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Arts. Her professional experience includes serving as an Employee Engagement Intern in Southwest Airlines' Culture and Communications department, as well as working Entrance Queue Operations at the Masters Tournament. Sara is also a dedicated volunteer for Chi Omega’s philanthropies, the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), North Texas Area Alumnae Panhellenic welcomes alumnae from all 26 NPC member sororities. The organization meets monthly for social gatherings, educational programs, and fundraising events. Each spring, NTAAP hosts a Sorority Recruitment Forum to educate and prepare young women for recruitment. Serving North Texas, NTAAP’s footprint encompasses Plano, Lewisville, Richardson, McKinney, Carrollton-Farmers Branch, Irving, and Denton ISDs, along with surrounding communities.
