Collin College’s Chris Hockenberry, of Plano, and Amy Glazier, of McKinney, were among around 40 community college students from across the nation selected to participate in the National Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) program in fall 2012.

During the three-day event at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., Hockenberry and Glazier participated in interactive Web-based activities and an on-site team project.

Students were also privileged to tour NASA facilities, and interact with engineers, educators, astronauts and fellow students. Students selected for the program are encouraged to study mathematics, science, engineering and computer science.
