DECEMBER 18

IDENTITY THEFT 

An officer was dispatched to the 3600 block of Shenandoah in response to a report of identity theft. The victim stated that someone opened an account in her name without her permission and also spent money at several stores without permission. 

IDENTITY THEFT 

At approximately 5:17 PM, an officer responded to the 4600 block of Lorraine Avenue and spoke with a victim who stated that an unknown person opened a PayPal Credit Card account in his name without his permission. 


DECEMBER 19 


IDENTITY THEFT 

An officer responded to the 4800 block of Abbott Avenue at approximately 6:05 PM in regards to a case of identity theft. The reporting person explained that his credit card was used by an unknown suspect to make purchases without his permission. He still had the credit card in his possession but canceled it after the fraudulent activity. 


DECEMBER 20 


BURGLARY OF BUILDING 

At approximately 12:47 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of Lindenwood Avenue in response to a reported burglary. The victim stated that his residence was under construction, and while he was away at lunch, someone broke into the garage and stole a Miter Saw. 

RECOVERED STOLEN PROPERTY 

An officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Lomo Alto Drive to check out a suspicious vehicle. The license plate of the vehicle indicated that it had been reported stolen on December 17. The driver of the vehicle returned to the scene, under the influence of alcohol, and claimed that she had driven it because it was her aunt's car and she had permission to do so. She also stated that they reported it stolen so they could figure out where they had parked it. A hold was placed on the vehicle until it could be processed by the Dallas police and returned to the rightful owner. 

FAILURE TO LEAVE ID AT ACCIDENT 

At approximately 4:36 PM, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of Drexel Drive for a reported FLID. The victim stated that she had been involved in a minor accident in which the other party did not leave any information behind. She had been sitting at a red light facing westbound on the 4100 block of Beverly Drive when her vehicle was struck from behind. The other vehicle fled the scene without speaking to the victim. 


DECEMBER 21


BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An officer responded to the Whole Foods Market in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive to investigate a burglary of a vehicle. The victim stated that at approximately 10:50 AM, he had parked his car in the parking lot and walked to the Chase Bank nearby. He took cash from the bank and placed most of it in the glovebox of his vehicle. He then went to purchase food from Whole Foods, and when he returned at approximately 11:08 AM, the rest of the money was gone and his driver side window had been shattered. 


DECEMBER 24 


FOUND PROPERTY 

An officer was dispatched to 51 HPSV in response to a report of found property. The HPSV security told the police that a ring was found by Salvation Army donation collectors near their collection site. The ring was valued at a minimum of $10,000. Police placed the ring in a property locker for safe keeping. 

FAILURE TO LEAVE ID AT ACCIDENT 

A victim stated that she was stopped at the 3100 block of Mockingbird Lane at the intersection of Mockingbird and Airline when another vehicle struck her from behind. The known suspect pulled over but refused to give the victim his insurance information. The victim noticed the smell of alcohol on the suspect's breath and stated that he was anxious to leave once the police had been called. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 12:00 PM, a white male subject purchased a cup of coffee with a Visa credit card. He then browsed the wine area of the store (located at 1 HPSV) and appeared to take a bottle without paying. He exited the store without making any attempt to pay. The bottle of wine was valued at $350 and the theft was caught on camera. 

FAILURE TO LEAVE ID AT ACCIDENT 

An officer was dispatched to the 4700 block of Drexel Drive to investigate a report of FLID. The victim stated that on December 21 she had been driving westbound on Knox approaching the intersection with Abbott when another vehicle traveling southbound approached. Both stopped at their respective stop signs, but when the victim had the right of way the other vehicle struck her passenger fender and caused minor damage. The suspect vehicle then failed to leave the necessary information with the victim.
