(McKinney, TX July 8, 2019)   —  Grammy winner Redd Volkaert will join country band Western Flyers for Beats & B.B. Owen, a free outdoor concert hosted by Trinity Falls from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 12.

The public is invited to pack a picnic dinner, blankets and lawn chairs for the event that will be held at Basecamp in Trinity Fall’s B.B. Owen Park, 1101 Lost Woods Way.

“This will be our best concert to date,” said Natalie Rosser, Marketing Director for Trinity Falls. “Redd Volkaert is a legend. It’s going to be such a treat for families to come out to our beautiful B.B. Owen Park for an evening of outstanding music and good old-fashioned fun.”

The former Merle Haggard lead guitarist won a Grammy award for Best Country Instrumental Performance in 2009. Considered a master of the Fender Telecaster guitar, Volkaert has also performed with Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton and Tim McGraw.

He is a frequent guest artist with Western Flyers who specialize in classic western swing, hot jazz, vintage country, cowboy songs and old-time fiddle tunes.

The event is the second of a three-concert series that happens the second Friday of each month throughout the summer. The final concert featuring The Redwine Band will be held Aug. 9. Food trucks will be on hand for those not wanting to pack a picnic. Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome.

B. B. Owen Park is the 350-acre centerpiece of Trinity Falls, offering more than two miles of winding, wooded river frontage, lakes, an amphitheater, disc golf course and a dog park.

Homes in the community are priced from the mid $200,000s to more than $600,000. For more information, visit www.trinityfalls.com
