Known for their smoked BBQ by day and premium steaks at night, Local Yocal BBQ & Grill highlights a handful of southern breakfast food and drink favorites in all their glory for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11AM to 3PM. Scratch-made by Chef Adam West, often kissed with a touch of smoke from the “Oyler 1300” smoker, Local Yocal serves sophisticated Texas cuisine through and through.
Brunch menu highlights include the Pulled Pork Benedict topped with a Carolina BBQ hollandaise ($18), Brisket Hash ($16), Wagyu Steak and Eggs (6 oz. for $24 and 12 oz. for $37), and Biscuits & Gravy ($13). On a sweeter side, the Bread Pudding French Toast ($13) with whipped cream, whiskey caramel, and pecans and Local Yogurt Parfait ($10) aims to please. The brunch menu is accompanied by Local Yocal’s lunch menu featuring signature favorites like Smoked Chicken Fried Steak ($19), Gulf Shrimp & Grits ($21) and other lunch items including BBQ meats, hamburgers, and salads.
Brunch drinks are just as impressive. Start the day with a signature, customized LoYo Spritz ($10), Blueberry Yum Yum, a grown up “juice box” made with Hendrick’s Gin, Circle 15 Farms blueberry jam, cucumber, ginger, lemon, and Citra hopped bitters for $12 or the Italian Stallion made with Beer Barrel Bourbon (aged in new American oak barrels and finished in Dragon’s Milk barrels), coffee-infused Amaro, Gomme syrup, and house-made bitters for $13. Guests can also order brunch classics including a Mimosa Carafe ($17) and a Bloody Mary ($10) featuring a scratch-made bloody mix and house-infused vodka.
Local Yocal BBQ & Grill is located at 350 East Louisiana Street in McKinney.
