A pickup truck belonging to McKinney ISD was involved in a crash early Tuesday morning that killed one woman and left two other people seriously injured.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the crash occured on I-35 in Oak Cliff at approx. 2:15 a.m. when the pickup lost control while driving through heavy rain and was struck by an 18-wheeler.  Passenger Regina Raquel Duane, 43, died at the scene.  A McKinney ISD teacher, who was driving the truck, and a 15-year-old passenger were taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

According to district spokesman Cody Cunningham, the three occupants were returning from an FFA event in Midlothian.
