driving in the spring.jpg

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and those shorts and flip flops are peeking to see if it’s time to come out and play. It must be Spring!!  This time of year is associated with fun times, but it’s also linked to fresh starts and spring cleaning.  Most people think of their wardrobe or homes when it comes to springtime maintenance, but what about our vehicles?  They need some “spring cleaning” as well right? Absolutely!  Here are 3 quick tips to make sure your car or truck transitions from Winter to Spring to Summer seamlessly:

1. Have the A/C Checked:  It’s best not to wait until the first 100 degree day to find out that the air conditioning is not working. March and April is the perfect time to have it checked to ensure that it’s working properly to get you through the hot Texas summer!

2. Coolant Check or Flush:   Just like our bodies, our vehicles depend on fluid levels to be just right.  It’s also best to have fluids like coolant checked as well as flushed for a smooth running engine.  This is also a good time to check for coolant leaks as this can cause long-term problems.

3. Oil Change w/ Filters:  Out with the Winter oil and in with the Spring oil.  It’s a good time to schedule an oil change, but this time make sure the filter is changed too.  A bad or dirty oil filter can cause as many problems as neglecting the oil itself.  Remember, we always use synthetic oil in our standard oil changes because that’s what our customers and their cars deserve!

Spring is such a wonderful time of year and we look forward to helping you keep your vehicle running smoothly so you can enjoy every minute of it!  Please share this with a friend looking for some vehicle maintenance suggestions.  Thanks so much!
