LAST Art Gallery, in historic Downtown McKinney celebrates four years as a cooperatively run gallery and nine years of continuous operation in its current location.  The gallery was founded in 2014 by Gail Delger, award winning artist and advocate for local artists.  The gallery transitioned to new ownership under Bradley Donaldson's leadership working with Jennifer Burke, Minda Macias, and JB Phipps in May 2019, and has been run cooperatively ever since.  All members of the gallery work together staffing the gallery; advocating not only their work, but the work of fellow member artists.  

Our mission is to showcase works from talented member artists ranging from the traditional to the eclectic.  Our artist members work in multiple medias - including oil paint, watercolor, acrylic paint, resin, ceramics, glass, wood, and jewelry making.  All of our artist members live and work in the DFW area, some of them are nationally and internationally recognized for their work.  

Since taking ownership, the new leadership team has increased the gallery's sales hours, expanded the retail sales area, added artist-occupied studios, and built a large classroom for artists to host classes and workshops.  These changes have increased the presence of the gallery in our community and helped artists expand their opportunities to profit from their work and skills.  Unlike traditional galleries, over 90% of an artist's sales go directly to the artist.  No other gallery in the city of McKinney does this.

LAST Art Gallery helps local residents and visitors access the work our local artists have to offer, and gives them the chance to take art classes and workshops offered by the same artists.  The gallery helps artists to not only market and find an audience for their work, but also helps them to build community with other artists.
