John Summers has been named Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) at Medical Center of McKinney. He joined Medical Center of McKinney in 2013, and most recently served as the Vice President of Quality and Risk. He has been with HCA for 15 years.

 

As the ACNO, Summers will have responsibility over the stroke, trauma, infection prevention, and patient experience programs, as well as oversee the risk, quality, education, and critical care departments.

 

Summers started his healthcare in the early ‘90s as a medic in the United States Air Force. He holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and a master’s degree in conflict resolution. He is currently working toward a doctorate degree in organizational leadership.
