McKinney, Texas–Anthony Villagran has been named chief financial officer at Medical City McKinney. Prior to joining Medical City McKinney, Villagran was chief financial officer for Medical City Alliance.

Villagran began his career with Medical City Healthcare’s parent company, HCA Healthcare, in the San Antonio division as an assistant controller with Methodist Hospital and Methodist Specialty Transplant Hospital. He also served as the associate vice president of finance at Medical City Arlington.

“With more than 12 years of hospital and healthcare experience, Anthony will bring a wealth of knowledge to the CFO position at Medical City McKinney,” said Ernest C. Lynch, III, FACHE, Medical City McKinney Chief Executive Officer. “We are excited to welcome Anthony and his family to the McKinney community.”

Villagran received a bachelor’s degree in Management from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.

Medical City McKinney is a 260-bed, acute care hospital that offers comprehensive services including a Level III trauma center, cardiovascular, neurological services, general surgery, orthopedics, women’s services, a neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a primary stroke center, a stroke rehabilitation center and an accredited chest pain center. Medical City McKinney is part of Medical City Healthcare.
