The award winning professional orchestra, The Odysseus North Texas Chamber Orchestra is proud to announce the new exciting youth orchestra in the North Texas region.

This new youth orchestra will begin in the fall of 2017 and auditions dates have been released. In the past, the Odysseus North Texas Chamber Orchestra has led the community with innovative education and outreach programs, which include the unique Mentor ship Program. This program enables exceptional talented high school students the opportunity to rehearse and perform side-by-side with professionals. The main criteria is that students be accepted to the TMEA all state orchestra. However there have been students that have received invitations without being selected to all state. This is done by high recommendations from musicians from the orchestra recommending their students. In 2017, the Odysseus orchestra will only offer this program to members of the Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra - Symphony Orchestra. The Symphony orchestra will be under the direction of Maestro Jason Lim, a multiple award winning international conductor while the Philharmonic Orchestra will be under the direction of Julie Daniels, who is Orchestra Director at Frisco High School.
