Hundreds of North Texas volunteers will converge on The City of Plano’s 14th Love Where You Live Service Day Saturday, April 22, in Plano’s Old Towne neighborhood.
Volunteer check-in begins at 8 AM. Work actually starts at 9:05 AM. Neighborhood planners spent nearly a year, connecting residents to each other and to much-needed community resources. On Service Day, City staff, neighbors, and volunteers from across Plano and North Texas will work together to remove litter, clean creeks, and complete minor home repairs for seniors, veterans, and other people experiencing hardships. Following the service project, all participants are invited to a Love Where You Live Block Party at First Baptist Church Plano located at 1300 E 15th Street.
More than 5,600 volunteers contributed a combined 26,360 hours of service in many of Plano’s older neighborhoods, since Love Where You Live started in 2010.
