JUNE 19 

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA 

At approximately 11:21 PM, police observed a vehicle that failed to use a turn signal in the 4500 block of Lexington. The police stopped the vehicle in the 4500 block of Byron Avenue. When speaking to the driver, police noticed a distinct odor and the driver admitted to having smoked marijuana earlier that day. He then stated that there was marijuana in the vehicle. The driver was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. 


JUNE 20 

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

At approximately 12:12 AM, an unknown motorist stopped a police officer in the 3600 block of Mockingbird Lane to report an accident. Police found a vehicle resting on its driver side in the 3800 block of Mockingbird. The driver was a 16-year-old male who had briefly dozed off while driving, then struck a tree and flipped. The tree sustained damages. 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

At approximately 10:17 AM, a victim reported that an unknown person had spray painted a pink bird on the outside of her fence in the 3800 block of Beverly Drive. The vandalism occurred between 7:00 PM on June 18 and 9:45 AM on June 20. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 4:11 PM, police responded to a reported bicycle theft and met with the victim in the 4500 block of Fairfax Avenue. The woman reported that her son had arrived at the residence and left his bicycle unsecured, then discovered that the bike was stolen at approximately 4:09 PM. 

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING 

At approximately 7:39 PM, police were dispatched to investigate a reported burglary in the 4300 block of Livingston Avenue. The victim stated that he saw his bike in his garage the previous night at 10:30 PM, then his wife returned to the house the next morning at 9:00 to find that the bike was gone. 

DUTY ON STRIKING UNATTENDED VEHICLE 

At approximately 11:03 PM, police responded to the Mi Cocina in the Highland Park Shopping Village and met with a witness who described a white truck that had struck an unattended parked vehicle then fled. 

JUNE 22

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

At approximately 10:50 PM, police responded to a report of damage in the 4700 block of Drexel Drive. A policeman had accidentally discharged his shotgun and damaged police property. 


JUNE 25

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 5:15 PM, police responded to the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue in response to a reported bicycle theft. The victims stated that her red bicycle had been taken without her permission between May 25 at 12:00 PM and June 25 at 12:00 PM.
