JULY 24 

FRAUDULENT USE OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

A victim stated that an unknown person fraudulently used his credit card to make a transaction without his permission. 
 
HARASSMENT 

A 25-year-old female victim reported that she received a threatening letter in the mail at approximately 8:11 PM. The letter pertained to family business endeavors. The victim resides in the 2900 block of Amherst Street. 


JULY 25

BURGLARY OF BUILDING 

An unknown person shattered the glass on the front door of a gas station in the 4400 block of Lovers Lane. The person then entered the business and appeared to remove cigarettes. The suspect then fled the location by unknown means before police arrived at roughly 4:00 AM. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer responded to a reported bicycle theft in the 6700 block of Hillcrest Avenue. A 46-year-old female victim stated that her bike was stolen from the location between 1:30 PM and 1:58 PM. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A 32-year-old female resident reported that an unknown suspect entered a store in the 6700 block of Preston Road at roughly 3:18 PM. The suspect reported stole several items. 


JULY 26 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 5:41 PM, officers responded to the 3600 block of Haynie Avenue in reference to a delayed report of theft. A report was completed. 

DUTY ON STRIKING UNATTENDED VEHICLE 

A suspect driver struck a 58-year-old female resident's parked vehicle and did not leave the required information. The incident occurred between 6:30 PM the night before and 8:00 AM the next day while it was parked in the 4400 block of Druid Lane. 


JULY 27 

ROBBERY WITH A FIREARM 

Two unknown suspects entered a store in the 6700 block of Hillcrest Avenue and told the clerk to remove cash from the register. One of the suspects had a handgun. The armed robbery occurred at approximately 6:00 AM. 


JULY 28 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, CONSUMPTION OF ALCHOLOL BY A MINOR, FAKE ID 

At approximately 12:24 AM, police arrested a minor for consumption of alcohol, as well as possession of a fake ID. The arrested individual damaged the UPPD jail door frame with his hands and feet, making it unusable. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An unknown suspect went into a 33-year-old female victim's unlocked vehicle and removed property without her permission. The theft occurred at approximately 4:20 PM in the 8400 block of Preston Road. 


JULY 29 

DUTY ON STRIKING FIXTURE/LANDSCAPE 

An officer found an abandoned vehicle that had struck an electric pole in the 7500 block of Preston Road. The vehicle was found at approximately 3:35 AM. 

FORGERY FINANCIAL INSTRUMENT 

A 57-year-old female resident found two fraudulent checks passed on her parents' account. She discovered the forgery at approximately 5:00 PM on July 27.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS IN HABITATION 

At approximately 5:45 PM, police officers responded to the 3900 block of Caruth Boulevard in response to a reported home burglary. An unknown person fled from inside the home. Upon arrival, officers cleared the location. The surrounding area was checked and officers advised the victim that nothing appeared to be missing. A report was completed.
