SEPTEMBER 25

CRIMINAL TRESPASSING 

At approximately 7:45 AM, police were dispatched to the 4600 block of N. Versailles Avenue in response to a report of criminal trespass. The complainant stated that between 10:30 PM and 7:30 the next morning, an unknown subject had entered onto the property through an unlocked closed gate on the west side of her residence. The unknown suspect walked down the side of her yard and entered into her backyard. The person then left the property and left the gates open. No damage was done and nothing appeared to have been taken. 

THEFT FROM PERSON 

A police officer was called to the lobby of 4700 Drexel Drive to meet with a victim who stated that between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM, a known suspect reached into her vehicle and grabbed her cell phone from her lap, then fled with the property. The victim stated that the two had formerly been in "a dating type relationship," and she ended the relationship. The man followed her in her car while screaming and yelling at her before stealing the cellphone. 


SEPTEMBER 27

IDENTITY THEFT 

At approximately 5:57 PM, police responded to the 4700 block of Bowser Court on a call for possible identity theft. The reporting person said that someone, without his consent, had used his personal identifying information in an attempt to open a credit account. Neither the victim nor his wife applied for the account. 

DAMAGE TO SHRUBS, PLANTS, OR TREES

HPDPS received a report of a single vehicle accident near the intersection of Cowper Avenue and Armstrong Avenue at approximately 7:40 PM. A vehicle had impacted the westernmost town tree in the 3500 block of Armstrong Avenue, causing damage to the bark and grass. The driver reported that she lost control of her vehicle a curve due to recent rain. She was not injured but her vehicle was rendered inoperable. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

At approximately 9:50 PM, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of 4700 Drexel Drive on a walk-in report of a burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim stated that his vehicle was burglarized while it was parked in the 3600 block of Crescent Avenue between 6:40 PM on September 26 and 8:00 AM on September 27. A camera bag and its contents were stolen, totaling at $4,000. Nothing else was taken. 


SEPTEMBER 28

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

Police were dispatched to a crash in the 4300 block of Lakeside Drive. A woman was struck by another vehicle while she was traveling northbound in the 4100 block of Lakeside Drive. She had been looking at her cell phone for GPS navigation and didn't' realize that she ran a stop sign. 


SEPTEMBER 30

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

A police officer responded to the 3600 block of Shenandoah Avenue for a BMV report. The victim's vehicle was parked on the street, and the back glass on the rear hatch of the vehicle had been propped open. An unknown person had entered the vehicle, but no items were missing. 


OCTOBER 1 


THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 8:26 AM, police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Mockingbird Lane on a report of stolen bicycles. The victim stated that between 3:00 PM on September 30 and 8:15 the next day, an unknown person had taken his and his wife's bicycles from their backyard without their permission. 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

A witness called at approximately 3:17 PM to report that her mother in law's vehicle had been damaged by someone attempting to gain access to the vehicle while it was parked at her residence in the 4300 block of Beverly Drive. The witness observed a hole punched in the vehicle door at approximately 2:00 PM when she drove up beside the vehicle. It appears that the suspect never gained access to the vehicle.
