THEFT OF PROPERTY
At approximately 9:20 AM, a suspect took property from inside a CVS in the 6700 block of Preston Road without paying.
THEFT OF PROPERTY
A product was stolen from the CVS in the 6800 block of Snider Plaza by a known shoplifter at approximately 3:50 PM on August 12.
ASSAULT/FAMILY VIOLENCE
At approximately 12:37 PM, officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of University Boulevard in regards to a disturbance. When the officers arrived, they separated the involved parties. The male was arrested and transported to UPPD jail and a report was completed.
AUGUST 15
BURGLARY OF VEHICLE
An officer responded to a reported burglary of a vehicle in the 3600 block of Westminster at approximately 8:59 AM. The reporting person stated that someone broke the driver's side window of her vehicle and stole a bag with work items inside.
ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A victim stated that he was attempting to parallel park in the 3600 block of Asbury when a suspect's vehicle struck his. The suspect exited his vehicle and became confrontational. The victim called the police and the suspect went into his residence on the street and would not come back outside. The suspect ignored officers' knocks on his door and kept looking out of the second-floor window without responding.
AUGUST 16
BURGLARY OF VEHICLE
An unknown suspect broke the rear passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 3500 block of Lovers Lane between 2:30 PM and 6:10 PM. The suspect then took property without permission or consent.
AUGUST 17
ARSON
A house fire was started by arson in the 400 block of Hanover Street at approximately 4:55 AM. The motivation behind the arson remains unknown.
DUTY ON STRIKING FIXTURE/HIGHWAY LANDSCAPE
A witness observed a gray van dragging a "no parking sign" in the 6500 block of Lomo Alto Drive at approximately 12:58 PM. A report was completed.
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVALID WITH NO PROOF OF LIABILITY
At approximately 4:10 PM, a suspect was arrested in the 2900 block of University Boulevard for warrants and DWLI.
AUGUST 18
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
A suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he struck a parked vehicle in the 3900 block of Northwest Parkway at approximately 6:24 AM.
AUGUST 19
PUBLIC INTOXICATION
An officer arrested a subject for public intoxication in the 3000 block of SMU Boulevard at approximately 2:20 AM. The officer also located a plastic bag of cocaine in the subject's pocket.
THEFT OF PROPERTY
An unknown suspect took tools out of the storage shed in the backyard of a residence in the 4100 block of Normandy Avenue. The incident occurred between midnight on August 16 and midnight on August 19.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA
At approximately 12:00 PM, officers stopped a vehicle for disregarding a traffic signal in the 3400 block of Granada Avenue. The driver was later arrested for possession of marijuana.
BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE
Officers arrived at the 3900 block of Bryn Mawr Drive in regards to a reported theft at approximately 4:42 PM. The reporting person stated that power tools were taken without permission from a truck bed.
