A few weeks ago, we asked the members of Lakewood BubbleLife to vote for their favorite parks in the area. Although we got a number of suggestions, Tietze Park claimed first place with 40 percent of the votes. 

This local park is maintained by a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve and preserve the natural beauty of the area. The 8-acre space hosts a basketball court, a pavilion, picnic tables, a playground, a pool, a softball field, and a tennis court. There are also trails you can meander down if you want to spend some time walking through nature. Trees provide plenty of shade from the Texas heat, and people love the serene atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city. 

It's pretty easy to see why the park garnered so many votes from locals. So, why do you love Tietze?
