JANUARY 15

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE 

A vehicle parked in the 4200 block of Emerson Avenue was burglarized, and some property was taken without permission between 7:20 AM and 8:15 AM. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer responded to the 4300 block of Amherst in reference to a stolen vehicle. The caller stated that between 8:00 PM on January 14 and 11:15 AM on January 15, a vehicle was stolen from in front of his residence. 

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS ON STRIKING UNATTENDED VEHICLE 

A victim parked her vehicle on the street in the 3200 block fo Daniel for about an hour. While she was gone, an unknown person struck her vehicle with their vehicle, knocking her vehicle up onto the curb. The suspect driver left the scene without calling 911 or leaving any information.


JANUARY 16
 

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE 

A resident reported that his vehicle was stolen while it was running, unlocked and unoccupied, to warm up. 


JANUARY 17 


BURGLARY OF VEHICLE 

An unknown suspect entered a vehicle parked in the 4000 block of Caruth Boulevard and took property without permission. 


JANUARY 20


DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVALID WITH NO PROOF OF INSURANCE 

At approximately 8:00 AM, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 7800 block of Preston Road. Upon further investigation, the driver of the vehicle had outstanding warrants and was driving without a driver's license or proof of insurance. The driver was then arrested. 

CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE 

A victim was having lunch at La Madeleine and she had her purse hanging over her chair. An unknown reached into the purse and stole the woman's wallet. 


JANUARY 21


BURGLARY OF HABITATION 

A residence in the 3400 block of Potomac Avenue was burglarized. Four fur coats, (totaling together over $20,000) were taken. 

PUBLIC INTOXICATION 

A person was arrested for public intoxication and outstanding warrants in the 2800 block of University Boulevard.
