UP POLICE BLOTTER: January 8 - 14

JANUARY 8

PUBLIC INTOXICATION 

Two people were inside a vehicle at a gas station on Preston Road. The vehicle was running and the doors were locked. After police officers forced entry into the vehicle, the driver was arrested and the passenger was transported to a nearby hospital. 

ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE TO VEHICLE

A vehicle parked in the 6600 block of Westchester Drive was damaged by another vehicle at some point between 8:30 PM the night before and 2:53 PM the next day. Whoever was driving the other vehicle did not leave behind any identifying information and no witness information was obtained. 

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA 

At approximately 9:06 PM, officers were dispatched to a suspicious activity call in the 7700 block of Hillcrest Avenue. Two subjects were placed under arrest for the possession of marijuana. 


JANUARY 9 


THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A resident reported the theft of a wheel and tire from his truck, which was parked in the 4100 block of Bryn Mawr Drive at approximately 7:40 AM. 


JANUARY 10
 

FRAUDULENT USE OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION 

A victim's credit card information was used to purchase two watches without her permission at 1:52 PM. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

An unlocked vehicle parked in the 3700 block of Purdue Street was entered overnight. An iPad and two cell phones were taken without permission. 


JANUARY 11


CRIMINAL TRESPASSING 

A subject was arrested for criminal trespassing at a gas station in the 8400 block of Preston Road after being issued a warning in December of 2017. 


JANUARY 12


THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer responded to the 3500 block of Bryn Mawr Drive because a victim reported the possible theft of a package. 


JANUARY 13 


THEFT UNDER $100 

A male subject entered a store in the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane and shoplifted two jugs of liquid Tide. 


JANUARY 14


FORGERY OF FINANCIAL INSTRUMENT 

A resident in the 4100 block of Stanford Avenue reported that an unknown person forged and attempted to cash a check against a home equity line of credit without authorization.
