MARCH 12

BURGLARY OF BUILDING 

An unknown suspect broke a window out of a store in the 8300 block of Preston Road, entered, and stole several pairs of binoculars, knives, and watches at approximately 1:32 AM. 

FAILURE TO GIVE INFORMATION 

A delivery van was struck by a dirt-hauling truck tractor on SMU Boulevard at approximately 1:40 PM, causing mirror damage. The truck left the scene without stopping to speak with the victim. 

CRIMINAL TRESPASS 

The builder of a new home, which is listed for sale, advised police that someone was entering the home without permission. Officers searched the premise in the 2800 block of University Boulevard and found that a window and door were unlocked. No one was in the home, but a backpack was recovered, along with some identification. 

CRIMINAL TRESPASS 

A suspect was arrested for criminal trespassing in the 3500 block of Asbury Avenue at approximately 6:00 PM. 


MARCH 14 

CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE 

An unknown person entered a victim's vehicle and stole items without consent, including her identification, credit cards, and debit cards. The incident occurred while the car was parked in the 3600 block of Wentwood Drive between 10:00 PM on March 13 and 8:30 AM the next morning. 

INCIDENT REPORT 

An unknown suspect(s) hit a victim's tree limb with their moving vehicle. The incident occurred in the 3900 block of Caruth Boulevard between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM on March 12. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY/CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE 

A victim's wallet was stolen from the YMCA in the 6000 block of Preston Road. 


MARCH 16 

THEFT UNDER $100

Two suspects entered a CVS in the 3000 block of Mockingbird Lane at approximately 4:08 AM. They removed items from the shelves, paid for some of them, and left without paying for many of them. When confronted, they fled the scene. 


MARCH 18 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At 8:29 AM, officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Stanford Avenue in regards to a report of theft of vehicle parts. A report was filed. 

DUTY ON STRIKING UNATTENDED VEHICLE 

A delivery van struck a parked vehicle in the 2700 block of Rosedale. 

FAILURE TO GIVE INFORMATION

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 3200 block of Daniel Avenue at approximately 5:36 PM. The driver left the scene without rendering aid.
