OCTOBER 9 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 3:13 PM, a police officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Armstrong Parkway in response to a reported vehicle burglary. The victim stated that the employees of a nearby location notified him that his vehicle was being burglarized. There is no detailed description of the burglar. 


OCTOBER 12

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A police officer responded to 83 HPSV in response to a theft report at approximately 4:45 PM. The caller stated that a white female had taken several items from the store without paying. 


OCTOBER 13

LOST PROPERTY REPORT 

At approximately 9:15 AM, a victim walked into the Highland Park Police Station to report a lost vehicle decal permit. He stated that while he was cleaning his vehicle window, he accidentally damaged the vehicle decal permit that allows him to operate as a vehicle for hire in the DFW airport. The Ground Transportation office in Dallas informed him tha the needed to file a "lost property report" for the damaged sticker. 


OCTOBER 14

BURGLARY OF BUILDING 

At approximately 9:15 AM, police responded to a reported burglary in the 4300 block of Bordeaux Avenue. The caller stated that between 6:00 PM the night before and 6:30 AM the next morning, someone had broken into the onsite storage trailer and taken various tools without permission. It appears that the lock on the trailer was pried open with some type of tool and the padlock was cut. 


OCTOBER 15 

FOUND PROPERTY 

Police were notified that there was an abandoned bicycle at MT Vernon and Potomac Avenue. An officer arrived on the scene at approximately 9:15 AM and determined that the bike had not been reported stolen. No identification numbers were found on the bike and the nearby residents did not recognize it. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 2:56 PM, a police officer was dispatched to the 4300 block of Livingston Avenue in regards to a bike that was stolen. The victim stated that she rode her bike to the location and parked it on the west side of the residence in the driveway at approximately 2:00 PM. When she returned, she found that the bike had been stolen, as well as the bag that was attached to the bike (which contained her driver's license, the key to her residence and some cash). 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

Police met with a victim in the 4300 block of Livingston Drive at approximately 2:56 PM to discuss a bike that was stolen from the driveway of her residence approximately 6 weeks ago. There were no suspects. 

ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE TO VEHICLE 

At approximately 4:46 PM, police were dispatched to the 5400 block of Eastern Avenue to investigate an accident scene. The victim was uninjured and stated that as she was going southbound through the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Eastern Avenue, a vehicle traveling eastbound on Mockingbird Lane ran a red light, struck the front bumper of her vehicle, then continued without stopping to render aid or leave contact information. The accident was witnessed by two other drivers.
