DECEMBER 11
BURGLARY OF VEHICLE
A suspect entered a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Fondren Drive and stole property between 11:00 AM and 11:05 AM on December 10.
THEFT OF PROPERTY
An officer responded to the 3400 block of Centenary Drive at approximately 9:13 AM in regards to the theft of building materials from the location.
THEFT OF PROPERTY
A victim's housekeeper stole more than $750 worth of property from her home in the 3800 block of University Boulevard over the course of about six months.
THEFT OF FIREARM
At approximately 7:01 PM, an officer was dispatched to a delayed burglary of a vehicle report in the 8300 block of Preston Center Plaza. Upon arrival, the victim advised the officer that an unknown suspect had used an unknown tool to break the window of her vehicle and take property without consent, including a handgun.
CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE
A victim stated that she was at the Community Center in the 3000 block of University Boulevard for about an hour, and when she was leaving she realized she could not find her wallet. An unknown suspect was seen entering the building twice within 30 minutes, but the victim did not speak to anyone or have any idea of who took her wallet.
DECEMBER 12
BURGLARY OF VEHICLE
A victim stated that an unknown person entered her vehicle while it was parked outside of her home in the 4500 block of Shenandoah Avenue and took the third-row seats. The theft occurred between 9:00 PM on December 11 and 7:00 AM the next morning.
THEFT OF PROPERTY
Unknown suspects stole packages from the porches in the 2700 block through the 3000 block of Milton and Rosedale.
THEFT OF PROPERTY
At approximately 7:21 PM, officers responded to the 6700 block of Preston Road due to a reported theft of merchandise. An investigation was opened and a report was completed.
DECEMBER 14
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE
An unknown suspect stole a victim's truck and fled the location. One of the employees of the victim observed the vehicle and followed it, then recovered it.
ACCIDENT INVOLVING DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
A suspect vehicle was attempting to travel west in the 3600 block of Purdue when it struck a parked vehicle. It appears the driver was not paying attention during an attempt to pass.
DECEMBER 15
TERRORISTIC THREAT
A subject posted threatening messages on a victim's Facebook page.
BURGLARY OF VEHICLE
The reporting person stated that an unknown subject entered his unlocked car while it was parked in the 6000 block of Preston Road. Thousands of dollars of property was taken between 5:10 PM and 5:50 PM.
DECEMBER 16
HARASSMENT
A subject was harassing a victim at her place of employment, so the victim reported the harassment to the police.
BURGLARY OF VEHICLE
A resident's vehicle was broken into and several items of sporting equipment were taken. The theft occurred while the vehicle was parked in the 2700 block of Rosedale Avenue between 8:00 Am on December 14 and 12:30 PM on December 16.
THEFT UNDER $100
Two packages were stolen from a home's porch in the 2800 block of Rosedale Avenue between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
