From unforgettable musical performances to pumpkin patches and non-profit events, the DFW calendar in September is jam-packed. Here are some of the biggest events you won't want to miss. Get your tickets and make your plans today! 

2018 Dallas Heart Walk (September 8)

Join nearly one million other Americans as they attend events across the country to build healthier lives. Luke Bryan Concert (September 8)

There's no better way to say goodbye to summer than by listening to Luke Bryan live from the lawn at Dos Equis Pavilion. He'll be performing classic hits as well as some from his newest album, What Makes You Country. Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen open. Tickets are available online now. 

Jay-Z and Beyonce Concert (September 11)

This husband and wife duo is co-headling their On the Run II Stadium Tour. Beyonce will be supporting her album Lemonade while Jay-Z promotes his, 4:44. Don't miss their epic show at the AT&T Stadium. Grab your tickets today. 

Downtown Arlington Brewing Arts Festival (September 13 - 15)

If you live in or near Arlington, Urban Union is the place to be during these dates. There will be a wide selection of art, music, food trucks and beer available to everyone. The best part? Admission is free! Stop by on any of the three days to enjoy some local culture and entertainment. 

5k One Run by the Cancer Support Community North Texas (September 15) 

This community-based run will celebrate survivors of all cancer diagnoses, as well as their loved ones. Join in on the 1K walk or 5k run, then stay tuned for a party with free food, drinks, family-friendly activities and dancing. Prices increase from $30 to $40 for the 5K on September 10, so buy your tickets ASAP and support a great cause. 

Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience Featuring Ramin Djawadi (September 16)


Many of us have been deprived of our favorite fantasy TV show for far too long now. Fortunately, you can get a dose of Westeros by attending the critically acclaimed live experience. Dubbed an "epic experience," this symphony performance is truly unlike any other. Buy your tickets online today. 

Addison Oktoberfest (September 20-23)


This fun recreation of the Munich Oktoberfest features 30 hours of family-friendly entertainment and tons of yummy German culinary fare. Bring the whole gang to enjoy the midway games, carnival rides and fair-style food. Single-day admission tickets are $10 for adults, although you can buy a group package for a different rate. 

Plano Balloon Festival (September 21-23)


The Intouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival is a three-day event full of food, live music, and of course, more than 45 huge hot air balloons. Buy tickets for the balloons but stick around for the skydivers and concerts. THere will also be a half marathon, a relay, a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile fun run this year. 

Autumn at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden Returns (September 22)

You know autumn has arrived in Dallas when the Arboretum pulls out their elaborate pumpkin patch display. From September 22 to November 21, you can purchase tickets and snap as many seasonal Instagram photos as you want. The pumpkin houses and displays incorporate more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds, squash, cornstalks and hay, so there's enough fall-themed decor for everyone to enjoy. Admission is free with your regular Dallas Arboretum ticket

Smoked Dallas (September 22)

From 2 PM to 6 PM, more than 15 different barbecue joins from across the state will be bringing their best to Main Street Garden in Dallas. Chow down on some delicious food while enjoying live music and games. There are complimentary BBQ tastings at every restaurant until 5 PM, so be sure to get there with enough time to try everything. Tickets are available online

Interabang Books and USA Film Festival Present "An Evening With Sally Field" (September 22)

This event will honor Field's new memoir, In Pieces, and contain a conversation moderated by Krys Boyd, the host of KERA's Think. Listen as this famous actress takes you through her Hollywood career and her personal history. Buy your tickets in advance and show up for the on-stage discussion by 6:45 PM. 

Childish Gambino Concert (September 23)

Joined by Rae Sremmurd, Childish Gambino is coming to Dallas in support of his 2016 album, Awaken, My Love! Now is your chance to see hits like "This Is America" performed live at American Airlines Center, so don't wait to buy tickets

Ozzy Osbourne Concert (September 26)

As a part of his farewell world tour, Ozzy himself will be dropping by Dallas to perform some of his legendary hits. Head to the Dos Equis Pavilion to sip on a beer and watch the lead singer of Black Sabbath jam out on stage for the fifth decade. Tickets are on sale now
 
Drake Concert (September 26) 

Drake is returning to Dallas to support his new album, Scorpion, at the American Airlines Center. He'll be joined by Migos, who helped him create "Walk It Talk It." Snag tickets now before they're sold out. 

The State Fair of Texas Opens (September 28)

It's officially that time of year. Starting September 28, you can indulge in ridiculous fried foods as you meander through carnival rides, livestock shows and music performances. The concert series kicks off on opening day at 8:30 PM with Kraig Parker. Buy your tickets and let the traditional State Fair fun begin. 

11th Annual McKinney Oktoberfest (September 28 - 30)

If you're in the mood for good beer and festival food, look no further than Downtown McKinney. Vendors and performers will offer authentic Bavarian experiences while carnival rides entertain children and adults alike. Stop by any of the three days for free!
