JULY 16 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer was dispatched to the area near Belclaire Avenue and Armstrong Avenue in regards to a theft that was reported earlier in the day. He arrived at the scene at approximately 1:35 and spoke with the victim, who stated that between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM, an unknown suspect removed a saw from an open trailer without permission. 


JULY 17 


CRIMINAL TRESPASS 

At 8:00 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 4800 block of Abbott Avenue for a report of criminal trespass. The victim stated that an unknown person had entered his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the alley. He has a video of an unknown male entering the vehicle at 5:20 AM. 


JULY 18
 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 1:36 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 4600 block of South Versailles in regards to a theft of mirrors. The victim advised police that he parked his vehicle in front of his residence at 7:00 PM the night before. When he returned to the vehicle, he noticed that both door mirrors had been stolen. No suspects were seen. 

INFORMATION REPORT 

An officer was dispatched to the HPSV at approximately 6:19 PM on a report that an individual was continuously making an employee in a certain store feel uncomfortable. The suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning.


JULY 19 


FAILURE TO LEAVE ID AT ACCIDENT 

At 1:30 PM, two officers were dispatched to a hit and run in front of the residence in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue. The victim stated that his vehicle was damaged due to impact by an unknown vehicle. The other driver did not leave any information behind. 

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

Two officers were dispatched to a damage to town property accident that occurred at the intersection of Roland Avenue and Rheims Place. A father had taken his daughter out to drive with him at approximately 8:40 PM; she has a learner's permit and was practicing. As she headed westbound towards Roland Avenue, his daughter accidentally accelerated instead of braking. The vehicle went through the intersection and struck the light pool, causing the pole to fall over into the street. 


JULY 20 


CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 

At approximately 5:45 PM, an officer was working as off-duty as a security officer for the HPSV. He was notified by a valet that an employee stated his car had been keyed. It appears as though an unknown subject attempted to gain entry into the vehicle by prying open the driver's side door. The damage was valued at approximately $1,500. 


JULY 21 


UNATTENDED VEHICLE 

At approximately 9:00 AM, an officer responded to a parking violation in the 5000 block of Airline Road. The vehicle in question was earlier issued a parking citation for violating the 24-hour parking ordinance. The owner did not comply and move his vehicle, so the vehicle was removed by a wrecker service and listed as abandoned. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Bevelery Drive at approximately 5:58 PM in reference to a theft report. The victim informed police that someone had stolen approximately 38 feet worth of copper gutter downspouts installed on his home. He realized the downspouts were missing at approximately 5:45 PM after being out of town since July 2. 


JULY 21 


DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

At approximately 5:54 AM, an officer responded to a minor incident involving damage to town property in the 4700 block of Bowser Court. Two officers were exiting the parking lot of an apartment complex earlier, and as they were driving through the gate, the exit gate began to close and clipped the right rear quarter panel and bumper of the unit vehicle.
