Frisco Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee Presents 2018 Municipal Candidate Forum

The Governmental Affairs Committee of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs are pleased to announce the 2018 Municipal Candidate Forum for the May 5, 2018, General Election. The forum will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, hosted by Grace Church, located in Frisco Square at 8440 Grace Street in Frisco, TX. This free event is non-partisan and open to the public.

The Frisco Chamber of Commerce hosts candidate forums prior to each election. “As the ‘Voice of Business’ we know that our business community has a huge stake in how our local government is led,” said Tony Felker, President and CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. “We want to make sure that we always provide a platform for citizens and business leaders to remain informed about the candidates and the issues they support.”

All of the candidates running for Frisco City Council and Frisco ISD Board of Trustees have been invited and are confirmed to participate in the Municipal Candidate Forum, which will be moderated by Tony Felker and Cal Bostwick, Senior Vice President of CobbFendley.

“An educated voter is critical in ensuring our business community and Frisco as a whole are able to thrive as we continue to grow,” shared Shona Huffman, Director of Governmental Affairs at the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.  “This forum provides an opportunity for voters to see the candidates and how they respond to key questions and issues relevant to Frisco’s future.  It’s important for our residents to educate themselves, and to use that information to make their voices heard at the polls.”

Early voting begins Monday, April 23, 2018 and runs through May 1, 2018. Election Day is Saturday, May 5, 2018.
