This summer might be a great time to bring a new member of the family into your home. Children are out of school to help with training, and let's be honest, they need a hobby to keep them busy during the coming months.

Dallas Animal Services is currently holding roughly 700 animals that are ready for a second chance at life, and due to the sheer number of adoptable dogs and cats, adoption fees are being waived. Come spend some time with friendly animals large and small. Whether you're looking for a young pup to raise or an old cat to rescue, DAS has an animal that's meant for your family.

If you want to peruse the list of available pets, click here. To stop by in person, visit the main adoption center at 1818 N. Westmoreland Road. You can also visit the PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center on Coit Road. Just bring a photo ID and proof that your residence allows pets, then select the perfect furry companion for your family.
