Stonebridge United Methodist church has a mission this summer to feed sixty of the chronically hungry children at our adopted school, Malvern Elementary. These are children who have been identified by McKinney ISD through the McKinney Vento Homeless Act and the Food 4 Kids Program.

Throughout the school year, these children receive free hot meals on school days and food to take home for the weekends.  This program stops for the summer months, however, a child's need for food to fuel the brain and body does not stop.  During the summer, many of these children would go hungry with our partnership with Malvern.

“I love being a part of this important local mission. Jesus directs us to feed the hungry and that is what we are doing,” said Stonebridge UMC Malvern Coordinator Carol Dean.   “These families feel our love through our actions.”

“ We at Malvern appreciate Stonebridge United Methodist Church so very much.  Their love and kindness they show our Malvern family is extraordinary,” said Rhonda Gilliam, Malvern principal.
