The Blackland Prairie Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist is hosting an open house on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Heard Natural Science Museum Science Resource Center. For driving directions visit https://txmn.org/bptmn/. Anyone interested in learning about the Texas Master Naturalist program is encouraged to attend. The evening will begin at 7:00 PM with information about what it takes to become a Master Naturalist. There will be presentations on volunteer opportunities available with chapter partners: Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, Connemara Meadow Preserve, Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Center, and the Heard Museum. Attendees will also learn about additional chapter volunteer work including prairie restoration/preservation and maintenance of pollinator gardens. There will be a brief recap of the chapter’s 2019 activities as well as plans for 2020. Refreshments will be served. So, join us, grab a snack, and prepare to be inspired to get involved in preserving and enhancing the natural Texas we all love.
